10.04.2025

🥃 1. Barceló Rum Factory – San Pedro de Macorís
We start with a visit to the famous Barceló Rum Factory, one of the most iconic Dominican brands. You’ll witness the entire production process — from sugarcane fermentation to aging in oak barrels — and finish with a delicious rum tasting.
🦎 2. Cueva de las Maravillas & iguana habitat
Next stop: Cueva de las Maravillas, one of the most beautiful caves in the country. Inside, you’ll find ancient Taíno drawings, stunning stalactites and stalagmites, and atmospheric lighting. Nearby, visit the iguana habitat to see these fascinating reptiles up close.
🏛️ 3. Altos de Chavón – a coral stone village
We end the journey at Altos de Chavón, a spectacular attraction entirely built from coral stone. It’s a recreation of a 16th-century Mediterranean village featuring a 5,000-seat amphitheater, archaeological museum, art galleries, cozy cafés, and incredible views of the Chavón River.
